At their most recent Ofsted inspection, the school was graded as 'outstanding'. The school take punctuality, and attendance in particular, very seriously. This is why they initially purchased the Bromcom system. They have since expanded their use of Bromcom products to include monitoring pupil behaviour and grades. Using the flexibility Bromcom offers schools, they have mixed and matched different Bromcom options. Since there is a variety of platforms and a mixture of MacBooks and PCs being used at the school, the school wanted to have data input software for teachers that could be used across different platforms. Staff are currently using Teacher’s WebFolder on MacBooks and PCs with Internet Explorer, Safari and Firefox. The feedback from staff has been extremely positive. Director of ICT, Bob Griffith was pleased at how smooth the implementation process was and how staff adapted to Teacher’s WebFolder instantly. Benefits according to Bob:
"We can use WebFolder on anything from a staff laptop to MacBooks and even Linux based Netbooks and mobile phones - in fact anything with a web browser and access to our wireless network. This flexibility has made getting accurate registers much more straightforward, hence our attendance information is always up to date and we can locate pupils and staff quickly and easily." "We can also quickly log house points and check other details on pupils quickly and simply. As an IT manager I have the reassurance that the system is not storing pupils information locally so there are no security risks to worry about." "Training on the new Webfolder product was really quick, in fact staff were passing it between them without the IT staff having to show them what to do - a sign of how popular and easy to use the program has been."
