Product Manager

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000

We are looking for a Product Manager to lead the design and development of our products. This role is a key strategic position responsible for the success of the product in the field. As the product requires a deep technical understanding of customer environments and applications, the individual must be comfortable working closely with sales, marketing, development, testing, support, and operations teams. The role reports to the Head of Software.:

Primary Responsibilities in Priority Order

Drive the strategic agenda for the product line with Executive Staff, Sales, Operations and other departments
Define product strategy and direction; define and prioritize product requirements, features and functionality; develop product roadmaps; recommend product direction
Meet with customers, field, business partners and other industry sources to identify functional requirements
Write product requirements documents (MRD/PRD) that enable the company to deliver leadership products while continuing to satisfy tactical needs
Work with development groups during the development cycle to ensure the product meets customer requirements

Secondary Responsibilities:

Represent the company at customer meetings, conferences and trade shows; interface with industry analysts
Work with corporate marketing to create internally and externally focused product collateral and to define the product message

Work and Industry Experience Requirements:

3+ years product management experience preferably in start-up companies with responsibilities spanning inbound product management and product marketing Solid understanding of product management processes
Know how to create MRDs/PRDs, perform competitive analysis, feature/function prioritization and assessment
Must be a very capable communicator and be comfortable working with sales, marketing, developers, operations, customers and business partners
Proven teamwork and people management skills; excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Business focus with strong technical background; well-developed analytical skills; excellent project management skills
Ability to formulate product marketing business plans, competitive analysis and product marketing requirement documents

Special Attributes that will Distinguish a Candidate:

Experience as a Product Manager for an ASP, web-based applications
Experience with MIS solutions
Experience within Education sector
Experience with Finance Products will be a big plus

Senior C#/ASP.net Software Developer

Salary: £33,000 - £43,500

Responsible for building and maintaining internal and external facing web applications. This person will work with a team of experienced analysts, developers and business resources to build highly-performing systems that improve efficiency

Job Description:

Ability to build new systems with C#/ASP.net/SQL Server/Reporting Services
Ability to develop new functionality or upgrade our existing applications
Experience with Transact SQL and PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, triggers, testing and data loading tasks
Experience working with web server and windows servers
Experience with integration of applications with MS Excel, MS Access and MS Word
Knowledge in utilizing Reporting Services, Business Objects and Crystal Reports in web applications

Desired Skills & Experience

4+ years of experience as a developer
2+ years of experience with C#/ASP.net
2+ years working with SQL Server
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP)
Good knowledge of the .NET Framework
Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices
Ability to design and optimize SQL Server stored procedures
Knowledge with JavaScript, VBscript, JQuery, HTML or similar technologies
Windows Mobile Smart Client
Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment
Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software is necessary
